Tap&Ticket is an early-stage software project operated by the individual identified in the applicable agreement. Tap&Ticket is currently being provided to selected businesses as a free pilot.

1. Who we are

Tap&Ticket is an early-stage software project operated by William Thompson. It is currently being provided to selected businesses as a free pilot. Tap&Ticket is not a limited company.

You can contact us at any time at hello@tapandticket.com.

2. What Tap&Ticket provides

Tap&Ticket is a software platform that replaces paper claim tickets. It lets your customers start a drop-off by tapping a Tap&Ticket stand, receive a digital ticket, follow their job status, and add their ticket to Apple Wallet. It also gives your staff a dashboard to manage drop-offs, jobs, statuses and customer details.

3. Your account

When we set up an account for your business, you agree to:

  • provide accurate information and keep it up to date
  • keep sign-in credentials confidential
  • take responsibility for the staff users you add and what they do on your account
  • tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access

4. The free pilot

Tap&Ticket is currently provided to selected businesses as a free pilot. No businesses are being charged. During the pilot, features may change, be added or be removed as the product develops. Where your business joined as a pilot, our Free Trial Terms also apply.

5. Moving to a paid plan

If we introduce paid plans, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or through the dashboard before any charge could apply to you. You will then be able to choose whether to continue on a paid plan or close your account. You will never be charged without first agreeing to a paid plan.

6. Pricing

Any prices shown on this website are indicative only, are quoted in pounds sterling, and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. No pricing applies to your business during the free pilot.

7. Billing

Billing does not apply during the free pilot. If paid plans are introduced, the billing terms that apply to you will be set out and agreed before any payment is taken.

8. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • use the service lawfully and in line with these terms
  • keep the ticket and customer information you enter accurate
  • honour the digital tickets you issue to your customers
  • look after the Tap&Ticket stand links we provide and tell us if one is lost or misused
  • remain responsible for your own customer service, pricing and the items customers leave with you

9. Customer data

For the personal data of your customers that you process through Tap&Ticket, your business is the data controller and Tap&Ticket acts as your data processor. Our Data Processing Agreement applies to that processing, and our Privacy Notice explains how data is handled across the service.

10. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the service for anything unlawful or misleading
  • upload harmful, offensive or infringing content
  • try to reverse engineer, copy or resell the service
  • share access with people outside your business
  • interfere with the service or other businesses' accounts

11. Availability

We provide the service with reasonable skill and care, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, particularly during the pilot. We may pause or change the service for maintenance, security or development reasons.

12. Support

Support is provided by email at hello@tapandticket.com. We aim to respond promptly during UK business hours.

13. Ending your account

You may stop using the service at any time by emailing hello@tapandticket.com. We may suspend or end access with reasonable notice, or immediately where there is misuse or a security risk.

Before your account closes, you can ask us for a copy of your business data and we will provide it in a commonly used electronic format. After closure, data is handled in line with our Data Retention and Deletion Policy.

14. Liability

Because the service is currently provided free of charge, our liability to you is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of business arising from your use of the service. We recommend keeping your own records of important customer transactions.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes by email or through the dashboard. If you do not agree with a change, you may close your account before it takes effect.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
